Cedar Park Concrete Sidewalks & Walkways

Paths that stay level whether they run over shallow rock or deeper soil, and hold a grip when wet. Cut into the ledge where it sits high or based on conditioned ground where it runs deeper, jointed for any movement, and pitched to clear a downpour.

How we build it right

The process behind concrete sidewalks & walkways built to last

Credibility comes from how it's built, not from promises. Here's the order of operations on every concrete sidewalks & walkways job.

01

Fit the subgrade to the run

We check whether the path runs over shallow limestone and caliche or over the deeper soil toward the east side, then level into the rock or grade and compact the ground so the walk keeps its line rather than teetering on a ledge or heaving as soil swells and shrinks.

02

A four-inch walk on a true base

A walkway is poured at four inches over a prepared base, the usual depth for the foot traffic it carries.

03

Space the joints for any travel

Control joints get spaced to the slab so any movement has chosen lines to travel, which matters more along the clay-heavier runs than over solid rock.

04

Build the fall so water clears

We build in the fall so a downpour runs off the path instead of ponding on caliche or feeding the deeper soil right under it.

05

Texture it for wet footing

A broomed surface keeps your footing once a storm has left the walk wet.

Why Lucky's

The one you don't have to worry about

01

We answer, and we come back

Most contractors vanish after the deposit. We pick up the phone, show up when we say, and stand behind the work after the truck leaves. The follow-through is the difference.

02

Managed crews, our name on it

A foreman we know runs your job and a vetted crew does the work, managed by Lucky's, one company accountable from the first call to the final walkthrough.

03

Fully insured, paperwork-ready

COI and lien waivers on file before we break ground. The documentation that lets commercial clients pay and gives homeowners peace of mind.

04

Built right, not cheap

Prepped subgrade, reinforced and mixed to spec for the job, and proper curing. We build credibility through the process, not promises. On concrete sidewalks & walkways, that starts with fit the subgrade to the run.

A level, slip-aware walkway

A path built for slope, drainage, and a broom finish that holds when wet, on a base cut into the shallow rock or conditioned over the deeper soil underneath it.

FAQ

Cedar Park concrete sidewalks & walkways, answered

How much does a concrete walkway cost in Cedar Park?

A walkway prices on width, thickness, and base prep, plus the slope and finish the weather asks for, and the base swings with your lot, whether we are leveling into shallow rock or conditioning deeper soil. Most begin around $8 to $13 per square foot. The number follows a walk of the actual run.

Can you fix a trip hazard instead of replacing the whole walk?

Frequently, yes. A panel that has rocked up over an uneven ledge, risen where it sat on expansive clay, or been shoved by a tree root can often be ground flush or swapped on its own rather than tearing out the full run. We work out what caused it, then steer you to the fix that fits.

Why has my sidewalk lifted at the joints?

On a rocky lot, a panel resting on an uneven ledge can rock and lift at a seam. Over the clay-heavier east side, expansive soil heaves panels up unevenly as it swells after rain and draws back in drought, with roots adding to the push. On the repair we rebuild the base and redo the joint layout so that panel stops rising on you.

Can you build ADA-compliant ramps?

Yes. We pour ramps and approaches to the slope and finish that accessibility requires, with a slip-aware texture for wet days. Tell us the use and we build to it.

How are the joints spaced on a walkway?

Joint spacing tracks slab width and thickness so movement stays controlled. Skimp on joints and that is where random cracking gets going, and the expansive clay on the east side will not let it pass.

How long before I can walk on a new sidewalk?

Hold off on regular foot traffic for a few days while the slab gains strength, longer for a summer pour that needs a true cure. The timeline for your pour is in your hands from the start.
